Intelligence Platform

The trovicor - Intelligence Platform™ is an extremely versatile solution for collecting and analysing data. With its help meaning can be found amongst enormous amounts of seemingly irrelevant data.

The Intelligence Platform™ is a modular system to organise disparate snippets of information for law enforcement agencies, intelligence agencies and other government agencies.

trovicor’s Intelligence Platform™ consists of four basic parts: - Intelligence Desk - Intelligence Warehouse - Data Integration - Intelligence Applications

trovicor’s Intelligence Platform™ features for all intelligence agencies
• creating new intelligence
• supporting the entire intelligence cycle
• performing and automating the processing of mass data
• integrating all types of data sources
• integrating at all analysis tools
• meeting all law enforcement and government requirements
• offering common workplaces for all functions
• may be configured to any legal arrangements
• tailored intelligence solutions
• modular in design

Its modular design allows for an extremely high degree of customisation by which all features can be configured to meet customer needs. Intelligence Modules as additional functions may be added separately.

This analytical solution helps decision makers fulfill their mandate to identify and predict trends, patterns or problem areas which require action.

Analytic Solutions

For more than a decade, law enforcement agencies have argued that the rapid deployment of fibre optic cable in telecom networks, the explosive expansion of mobile telephony and the Internet and the proliferation of strong private sector encryption technology are threatening their capabilities of intercepting and monitoring communications.

Without appropriate modern technology criminals will be able to operate anonymously in virtual havens with devastating effects for public safety.

With the telecom revolution and the emergence of the network economy the need for the right locating and analysing tools is rising in order to achieve the appropriate results.

For creating new intelligence, based on the data that are collected, we provide a number of locating, analysing and interpreting tools.

Intelligence Mining
Intelligence Mining is the process of an automatic and interactive search for patterns in large volumes of data. It extracts implicit, previously unidentified, but potentially useful information. To this end, Intelligence Mining uses different techniques and customised tools for continuous analysis.

Pattern Recognition
Often, patterns are not immediately obvious, especially not in large databases or in continuously arriving data. The analyst needs a way to identify patterns by their regularities, symmetries or anomalies. Pattern Recognition automatically detects formerly unknown patterns matching certain pre-set criteria such as the type of information, time frame, minimum occurrence count, etc.

Behaviour Profiling
Individuals and organisations display unique characteristics in their behaviour, which changes only slowly. Behaviour Analysis software constantly scans the information in the Intelligence Warehouse for deviations from previously known characteristics. If a deviation occurs, an alarm is immediately triggered to alert the analyst.
Defined patterns may include
• communication (e.g. phone calls, emails, chat rooms, etc.)
• transactions (e.g. money transfers, ATM withdrawals, etc.)
• movement (e.g. travels, flights, hotel bookings, etc.)
• relationships

Indexing - Text Search
Indexing is an essential feature of an intelligence system. It involves the processing of huge amounts of unstructured text data, e.g. from monitoring centers. The user interface is similar to conventional internet search engines.
• all text information is constantly indexed by the full-text indexing process in the background
• indexing is performed on contents of emails, web pages, Word documents, SMS, database records etc.
• analysts can quickly search all text data for words or phrases.

Mobile Location Tracking
Mobile Location Tracking with a Geographical Information System (MCGIS)is an ideal solution to track, record, extrapolate, and anticipate the movements of mobile devices. Within mobile networks, the current location of marked mobile devices can be determined. In mobile networks the approximate location of a mobile device while it is in an active call is known with an accuracy related to the footprint of a mobile cell. This information can be sent to a Monitoring Center, correlated with other information about the target and displayed on a geographical map such as a city plan. Further information can be assumed and shown on the map, such as the likely direction in which the mobile device user is moving and whether he is likely to be walking or driving.

Speaker Recognition
Speaker Recognition (SR) and Language Identification (LID) is another add-on application that has been designed to assist the investigator in automatically detecting known speakers in recordings. Speaker Recognition and Language Identification work by comparing the characteristics of intercepted voice recordings with a library of known voice prints. A key factor to transform information into actionable intelligence is analysis. This platform can integrate and analyse any information from any source and support tasks in the fields of Intelligent Analyses, Case Management and Forensics.

Link Analysis
may be used to find and graphically display correlating data of intercepted targets. This information, which cannot be achieved manually, reveals previously unknown relationships between targets. Other add-on applications are being developed to allow for maximum use of the information contained in the database of the Monitoring Center. They are scalable and adaptable to the size of the organisation without compromising performance.
